Compensation & Ownership
Sparkfund offers employees competitive compensation and a 401(k) with a Sparkfund match. We believe in radical ownership, so all team members have stock option plans. Every employee also has a $1,000 professional development budget to use annually
Health and happiness go hand in hand. Health, vision, and dental insurance are available for you and your family, and many of our individual plans are 100% covered. Sparkfund offers FSAs and HSAs for the eligible plans and covers disability and life insurance for all employees. To make your commute easier, we also have pre-tax com- muter benefits.
Caregiver (Parental) Leave
Congratulations on the new addition to your family! Sparkfund encourages new parents to take eight weeks of paid child caregiver leave so you can spend time with your family when you have a baby or adopt a child.
We work hard and want you to play hard. Sparkfund offers a flexible vacation philoso- phy and encourages Sparkfunders to take four weeks off to enjoy themselves, beyond the 10 paid holidays. Not feeling well? There’s no limit to sick days, either, so you can take the time you need to get well.
We know that you work best when you're most comfortable so there’s no dress code. You’ll always fit in, whether you’re wearing a t-shirt or a blazer. Likewise, not everyone is an early bird, which is why we don’t have core hours. And if you need a day to work from home, that’s ok too!
Office & Community
Our Washington, D.C. office is a mix of vintage charm (hello, plaster ceilings) and modern conveniences like sit/stand desks and nap rooms. The kitchen is always stocked with snacks and cold brew coffee, and lunch is catered every Friday. Sparkfunders love engaging with the D.C. culture, too, by participating in volunteer and charitable opportunities throughout the year.
